Fly a Boeing Stearman for 30mins! Take a Sydney ride in America's World War II military trainer in civilian comfort! The Stearman bi-plane is an aviational classic. Onwards and upwards, see the Blue Mountains, Warragamba Dam and Lake Burragorang all at a great price - what more excuse do you need??

Upon arrival at the hangar, you will meet your pilot and ground staff for the day and be shown around the Boeing Stearman bi-plane prior to your scenic flight (with plenty of time for photos) and safety aspects will be explained.

Take your seat in the front of the aircraft, strap yourself in with reassurance from the crew, and your pilot will climb in behind you. You're off on a Stearman Scenic Flight over the amazing sights of greater Sydney.

You have communication with your pilot for the duration of the flight and he will make the journey as enjoyable as possible for you pointing out areas of interest as you sit back and watch the world fly past. In the manner of Neil Armstrong, who learnt to fly in this same model), you'll reach awesome heights on the 220hp Continental radial engine.

From Camden you'll reach comfortable heights and low levels within sight of Warragamba Dam, Lake Burragorang and the Blue Mountains. When you're up for it and you've seen so much already, your pilot will treat you to a low-altitude cruise along the beautiful Nepean River.

Guidelines:

There is a minimum age of 15 years. A camera is fine but please have a strap to attach it to your wrist. We ask customers to sign a flight form that gives us their name address and phone number. Each passenger is fully insured for the duration of the flight.

Weather:

Clear, calm conditions are needed. We cancel in strong wind and adverse conditions. If in doubt please ring before leaving home. If cancelled we will re-schedule at a time to suit the customer. Minimum of 24 hours is required to reschedule otherwise a 25% cancellation fee may be charged.

Session Length:

Allow approximately 1 hour for the full experience which includes 15 minutes preparation time – 30 minutes flight time and then 10 – 15 minutes at the end of flight for photos etc.

Extra Info:

Flights are available between available 7 days a week between 7am and 5pm, subject to weather conditions. The only days we don't fly are Christmas, Boxing and New Years Day. The best time of the day is very early morning due to calm air.
