If 'Top Gun' looked like fun then you'll be thrilled by these combat formation flights - especially if your best mate or family member is flying alongside you! Strap into a fighter jet and get set for an adrenalin-fuelled flight. We'll share the thrill of combat flight with you...if you dare!

When you and your friend arrive at the airport we'll have you looking the part in no time when you put on your flight suit! You are then strapped into the seat behind the pilot and briefed on the mission ahead. Then it’s out to the flight line – the fun is about to begin!

The combat formation flight is performed with two, three or four CJ-6A Nanchangs. At the beginning of your flight you will experience the art of close formation as practiced by the air forces of the world. Then it's time to split the formation. The fight is on!

Diving and turning to gain position behind the opposing aircraft, your pilot will take you on an amazing aerial combat adventure, using real military rules and procedures. While you are in the air your pilot will also explain the tactics being used by each of the crew members. This is not a simulator or computer game - this is the real thing! And your safety and comfort is paramount. This is the most fun that we had in the air force and now we can share it with you!

The CJ-6A Nanchang is the current primary trainer of the Chinese air force, with a 9-cylinder Radial-engine and sliding canopies. This aircraft is still in use, being employed by several air forces in training military pilots around the world.

Your flight will conclude with an amazing low-level run over the reef. You will then rejoin formation and make your way back to the base.

After your aerial combat flight you and your friend will climb out of the cockpits, grinning from ear to ear and buzzing all over with excitement after having experienced an absolutely mind-blowing flight!

Jandakot, Western Australia - approximately 15 minutes south of the Perth CBD.

Guidelines:

You will need to be 14 years of age or over to be eligible for this experience. There is also a maximum weight limit of 120kg and a maximum height limit of 6'4".

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people. You will be one-on-one with your pilot in the aircraft and flying in formation with up to three other aircraft.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we may need to reschedule your experience for a later date.

Session Length:

This experience is available on Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Please allow just under two hours for this experience. The duration of your flight will be approximately 30 minutes.
