Invite your guests to participate in the Famous Maxi Yacht Sailing Regatta! This exciting event is perfect for team-building or a corporate incentive. With a celebrity yachting personality in a famous Volvo Ocean Race yacht, you'll race through a series of heats and finals to determine the winner!

Your Maxi Yacht Sailing Regatta takes place on board one of the famous Round the World Race yachts. These 65ft maxi racing yachts were designed and built for the Volvo Ocean Race, an event which sees these high-tech vessels race around the globe in gruelling conditions, often at speeds in excess of 30 knots. Until recently, this class of yacht held the world monohull speed record and the Sydney to Hobart race record.

When you arrive for your sailing regatta you will be introduced to your celebrity yachting personality! These sailors are the best in the business and will take your guests through a number of yacht racing safety elements. Celebrity skippers such as Iain Murray, Gordon Maguire and Gary Geitz will host the event, however another suitable skipper may be substituted if these are unavailable. You will also be provided with two five-man professional racing crews to instruct and assist your guests.

Your team will then be divided into teams and, guided by our professional crew members and celebrity skipper, compete in a series of heats and final races to decide the ultimate winner!

This blue ribbon event provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for your guests to participate in a maxi yacht racing event and experience the power and thrill of maxi yachts on the fabulous Sydney Harbour.

Guidelines:

No prior sailing experience is necessary however guests should be physically able. Remember to bring your camera!

Numbers:

This is an exclusive group experience. The price quoted is for anywhere from 20 - 45 participants. We are able to accommodate up to 320 people - please contact us to inquire about the price.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the event of poor conditions we reserve the right to vary your sailing program or cancel your sailing regatta. If your event is cancelled it will be rescheduled for a later date.

Session Length:

The Maxi Yacht Sailing Regatta is available seven days a week during daylight hours. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Your experience will go for approximately four hours.
